Leftfield – one of electronic music’s greatest acts – releases third album ‘Alternative Light Source’ on Monday 8th June, the follow up to the Mercury Prize nominated ‘Leftism’ (1995) and ‘Rhythm and Stealth‘ (1999).
To celebrate the release, Leftfield hosted a launch party at London’s Lights of Soho on Wednesday 3rd June. During the evening attendees were treated to a special intimate DJ set from Neil Barnes as well as experienced SubPac, a tactile piece of audio technology which transfers low frequencies directly to your body allowing you to physically feel the music of Leftfield.
Alternative Light Source contains collaborations with Channy Leaneagh (Poliça), Ofei, Tunde Adebimpe (TV On The Radio) and Sleaford Mods. Joining in on the launch were English rock band You Me At Six, who will be taking the stage at the Isle of White Festival on 12th June.
